The mailbox has a covered opening, which means that its interior is protected from the effects of weather conditions. This is particularly important in the case of classic letters and postcards, which are not resistant to water and could be damaged if exposed to moisture. The easily lifted flap has a specially profiled edge that makes it easier to open.
